### **Lesson Outline:**
1. **Warm-Up (5 minutes)**
- Begin with a fun, engaging song or chant about consonant blends.
- Quick recap on previously learned consonant blends from "Consonant Blends 1" lesson.
- Ask students to share words they remember from the last lesson.
2. **Introduction to New Consonant Blends (10 minutes)**
- Introduce new consonant blends: bl, cl, sl, tr, br, gr.
- Display flashcards with each blend and a corresponding picture (e.g., bl for "blue," cl for "clap," etc.).
- Pronounce each blend and have the class repeat after you.
3. **Guided Practice (15 minutes)**
- Demonstrate blending sounds with the whiteboard. Write down words like "black," "clock," "slide," "train," "brick," and "green."
- Break down each word to show how the blend works (e.g., for "black": "b-l-a-ck").
- Encourage students to come up and write or say other words they know that use these blends.
4. **Interactive Activity (10 minutes)**
- Distribute the flashcards among the students.
- Play a matching game where students have to find and pair consonant blend cards with the correct pictures or words.
- Organize a group activity on chart paper where students place sticky notes with words under the correct blend headings.
5. **Worksheet Activity (10 minutes)**
- Hand out worksheets where students need to fill in the blanks with the correct blend or match pictures to words.
- Monitor their progress, providing assistance as needed.
6. **Reading Practice (5 minutes)**
- Read a simple story or a few sentences that include the new consonant blends.
- Ask students to identify the blends they hear and see.
7. **Review and Closing (5 minutes)**
- Review the day's blends by sounding them out together one more time.
- Conduct a quick oral quiz where students say a word with a blend, and the rest of the class identifies the blend.
- Encourage students to look for these blends in books they read at home or during independent reading time.
### **Assessment:**
- Observe student participation during activities and their ability to correctly identify and use the consonant blends.
- Check worksheets for understanding and accuracy.
- Listen to students as they read or say words with the consonant blends.
### **Extension:**
- For advanced students, introduce more complex blends or multisyllabic words that use the day's blends.
- Assign students to find words at home or in the classroom that use the studied blends and share them in the next lesson.
